Surviving the Remodel

Our kitchen and primary bathroom are completely gutted to the studs. We had a refrigerator in the garage, so that really helps. We moved the microwave into the living room. No dishwasher (obviously), so bought paper plates. We kept some regular dishes to use in the microwave.

But we are really lucky! We have a vacation home in the Sierras and have largely moved there. P2 goes back and forth to check on the progress and answer questions from our contractor.

Some of our neighbors have done similar, disruptive remodels, and they moved into hotels. That wouldn’t be fun given the lack of space.

I’m grateful we have a comfortable alternative!
